January 2006 - Megagear commences operations - The team
consists of Gabriel, Yiannakis, Vasoula and Sophocles. Gabriel is a top Automatic gearbox technician with 27 years of experience. He manages the workshop and is a partner in the business. Yiannakis is the handyman. He maintains the workshop facilities in top form. Vasoula is the administrator, and is partner in the business. She takes care of all financial matters and purchases from abroad. Sophocles is a partner and he is the expert advisor on Sales and Marketing. June 7th 2006 - We celebrated the completion of our 100th car. The company is still young and growing rapidly. By this time the team has grown with the addition of Loucas, Pambos and Iacovos. Loucas is a trainee on gearbox building and Iacovos and Pambos are gearbox fitters. November 17th 2006 - We celebrated the completion of our 200th car. We are enjoying an excellent record and our reputation is growing rapidly within the Cyprus car industry. Work is flowing fast in and out of the garage. December 31st 2006 - We celebrated the end of the 1st year of operations. This was an excellent year, with difficulties and hardships but very successful in the sense that we have established the best and most reliable Automatic Gearbox workshop on the island. And we stand by this statement. By this time Pambos has left us to pursue other interests. We can brag and say that we worked on the first 6speed automatic gearbox that failed in Cyprus. This was on a Jaguar S-type. We were advised (by colleagues in the UK) not to touch it. But we insisted. And we succeeded. July 23rd 2007 - Andreas joins the team as a fitter. September 10th 2007 - Loucas (no2) joins the team as a fitter. Loucas departs in Decemeber. We can say that 2007 was a milestone for us. We picked up on pace and production rose dramatically and is still on a constant rise. March 2008 - Dimitri from Roumania joins us. Very nice guy. Hard worker. Iacovos departs the company looking out and searching for new adventures June 2008 - Georges from Roumania joins us. Young man, very bright, wants to learn everything. He is a good boy.
